June 4th marked the opening of the annual San Mateo County Fair. Butler Amusements started unloading their trailers at the end of last week, preparing for opening weekend. They join expo halls full of vendors and interactive experiences, a bustling farm barn and daily entertainment lineups on the main stage.

There are offerings for everyone with a full kids carnival and games area, the adult-geared carnival, gourmet concession courtyard, expo halls, pig racing arena and even camel rides along the parking lot entrance.

For an idea of cost, this was our expire with a family of four (two adults, two children over 36” tall)
6/8 Advance ticket purchase – $5 each ($20 total)
Unlimited ride wristbands – $40 each ($160 total)
40 count tickets for games – $1 each ($40 total)
You can also purchase tickets for rides, rather than the unlimited wristband. Each ride is between 3-5 tickets, so for the amount of rides we went on, wristbands were the way to go.

If you make it out to the San Mateo County Fair this year, be sure to give us a tag in any social media posts– we’d love to see our community out there enjoying the kick-off to Summer ritual.
