Maverick Jack’s Restaurant in Burlingame is a fresh take on a classic burger joint with great shakes and our favorite onion rings! Owner Micheál Mallie is a Gott’s Roadside alum, who hit the San Francisco Peninsula in 2008 with his first restaurant; Jack’s Prime Burgers & Shakes in San Mateo. In 2016 Micheál opened the sister restaurant, Maverick Jack’s Restaurant in Burlingame. Taking over a building that had failed time and time again as a restaurant over the years, Maverick Jack’s seems to be a permanent fixture and settled right into the space. Uniquely sitting almost atop of the Broadway train tracks and station in Burlingame, the rumble of trains passing by fills children with excitement and anticipation throughout the meal. I know our kids love to sneak a peak of each train as it zooms by.
Along with the retro-patterned indoor seating options, Maverick Jack’s built a permanent covered outdoor area that gives even better views to the trains, and is really nice on summer evenings. Maverick Jack’s is a favorite among our team members; David and Don grab a burger and beer frequently. On their menu, you will find options for burgers to sandwiches and really great salads.
