Victoria Park in Burlingame is located at the intersections of Howard Avenue and Victoria Road, in the Lyon-Hoag neighborhood. The playground area underwent a major renovation last year, reopening for public use in March 2022. The result is modern, space-themed, structures for all abilities and plenty of space for a generous sized crowd of children to play.
The equipment was made by Ross Recreation and second to none on quality. Even with black rubber pieces and metal poles all over, the components never seem too hot for little hands. Upon our first visit to Victoria Park in Burlingame, our kids immediately recruited a group and pretended they were in a cockpit and heading to space. We’ve also seen some pretty intense Ghostbuster-like playing and the platform swing fits a few kids easily, like they’re zooming to the moon. Our favorite feature at the new park is the footing! It’s soft rubber composite that’s wonderful for landing off slides and safe-height jumps.
Surrounding the playground are some benches with dedication plaques, and the basketball court is still in-tact and unmoved. Beyond the Redwood Trees are a couple of picnic benches, and the kids seem happy to belly up for snacks or lunch making a well-rounded outing at Victoria Park in Burlingame.
A big plus is that it’s walking distance to the following:
– HotWok Bistro
– KitchenTown
– The soon-to-open Kiki’s (in Nini’s old space)
