This past Sunday we were reminiscing about breakfast at Nini’s— one of the staples that stood the test of time on the San Mateo/Burlingame border, for decades.
After a sale of the building we all knew and loved, Nini’s will see a new business!
Kiki’s is set to open soon, with brother and sister, Le Cordon Bleu trained chefs, at the helm. Jacob and Sarah Marotta purchased the building and are preparing to welcome locals to a neighborhood favorite once again. They are currently working on the menu, but have expressed they will offer coffee and bakery items to go, breakfast and lunch.
Did you love the home feeling of Nini’s as much as we did? The Marotta’s have claimed they will keep the homey feeling, but many of the family photos and memorabilia were removed with the sale, so they have some gaps to fill.

Warm Summer morning’s on the patio for brunch are not far off! We are looking forward to the warm welcoming and spirit of Kiki’s and the new life the Marotta’s will breathe into it.
