Weekly Peninsula Real Estate Statistics

This week active listings took quite a jump. I think that sellers may have heard that the activity is picking up and this may be their best chance to get the best price for their home this year.

Pending sales are up over the previous three years during this same time period and this has been the trend for some time. But I think that this might be skewed because of lender delays, both for new financing and short sales, they are remaining in the pending status for longer periods of time.

Closed escrows are lower the than previous July Month-to-date over the previous three years, but not dramatically lower.
